Artist Susan Lordi hand carves each original Willow Tree® sculpture. Using family and friends as models, Susan tries to capture a moment in time, or express a feeling. Pieces are cast from her original carving, and then individually painted by hand. Softly washed colors, carved and metal accents, and representative icons of nature mark Susan's work.

A collection around the concept of Hanami (see the blossoms), taking different characters and items (lady, tree, girl) as good occasion to set them among flowers, working as reminders of the blossoming season. The flowers are cherry tree blossoms, as requested by these japanese traditions. However, the season of blossoming is a worldwide phaenomenon easy to understand by any consumer in any culture, evoking feelings of beauty, and cheerfulness.
