A self-taught artist from South
Carolina, Jim Shore's career began in engineering before turning his full
attention to art. A master sculptor and painter, Jim uses a variety of media,
including watercolors and egg tempera. He has also perfected his techniques
in silver and gold smithing, wood carving, stained glass and furniture making.
Jim's nostalgic memories from his Southern country upbringing and his love
for intricate patterns blends to create his charming collections. His genuine,
down-to-earth personality and excellent eye for detail gives every piece its
heart-warming appeal. Bright, seasonal colors, a wood-like finish and cheerful,
"smiling" eyes makes each of these santas a pleasant finishing touch
to holiday decor.
Expanding his Christmas offering, Jim has designed a striking Santa in a sleigh
and three breathtaking reindeer. Their bases coordinate to create a stunning
