Secrets: While Lord Byron is off on his spiritual quest, who is tending his garden? Unbeknownst to our hero, a LADYbug has taken up residence in his original rose garden home. Imagine her surprise when she came across Byron's abandoned abode. With typical feminine aplomb, she's tidied up, moved things around, and added some fixtures to suit her more comfortable style. She's relocated the pipe organ and big-screen TV into one informal living room, where in the morning she often lounges in an overstuffed chair watching telly, hair still in curlers. Or she peruses one of the many books she's found in the library, astonishing for its diverse texts and rare, out-of-print volumes. Being very conscious of her appearance, of course she can't live without her hair dryer. New, elegant drapery separates the room from the rest of the garden. When finally fully awake, she moves from the living room to the tastefully tiled bath. After a few repetitions with Byron's old free weights from the gym (just enough to keep her shell toned) she shuffles out of her fuzzy slippers to soak in a luxurious rose-water bubble bath. Refreshed the Lady heads for the breakfast bar for a healthy meal of fruit and cereal. All her movements are reflected in the recently installed full-length mirror. In the next room she's organised the artwork into a fairly substantial gallery. She prefers to incorporate Byron's motorcycle as a piece of art, being rather afraid of driving the noisy thing herself. A few miniature flower boxes grace the tables. After work she relaxes on a comfy chaise-lounge, too tired even to kick off her high heels. For her evening meal, the Lady grills some delicious low-fat food, following the recipe to a T. She dines al fresco in the central courtyard. Later, when the stars begin to wink, she observes the heavens through the telescope. Does she gaze upon the same stars as Byron? What will he think when he finds her here and sees that she's changed his world? HGLELR3
